DOUVRIS Karate Camps are a fantastic experience for all kids, ages 6 & up! In addition to providing a physical outlet and fitness benefits, our Karate Camps focus on:

Leadership and teamwork
Courtesy and respect for others
Personal focus and concentration
Problem-solving and non-violent conflict resolution

The DOUVRIS Karate Camp is suitable for beginner through experienced karate students, ages 6 and up.

2024 Summer Camps

Dates:

July 8-12
August 19-23

Where: 2275 Gladwin Cres.
Focus: karate, indoor and outdoor activities, obstacle courses, dodgeball, water gun fight, nerf gun battle, laser tag and pizza party on final day.

Cost: $375+tax per child per week

Striving 4 Excellence

DOUVRIS Martial Arts strongly believes in developing the character of our students along with the martial arts skills we teach them. The Striving for Excellence character development program was developed with 40 years of experience in teaching children respect, confidence, and self-discipline. Striving for Excellence allows our members to discuss, practice, and apply character development traits in their lives. The program includes a Karate Kids Workbook and a Karate Tykes Colouring book which children complete each month at home. The lessons outlined in the workbook are designed to accompany the “Word of the Month” which instructors discuss with students during each class.

Responsibility

One of the important aspects of our character development program is that it not only teaches students how to become responsible but it also empowers to use that tool to grow and become the best version of themselves they can be.

As Sensei Cody Diesbourg explains, one of the best ways we have to teach children about responsibility is our leadership program. Intermediate and advanced students are given the opportunity to assist in teaching beginner classes. Our leaders are expected to show up and help during the same classes, and to get there on time and with all their equipment, to make sure they understand how responsibility and accountability work.

Mindfulness
with Douvris

At Douvris Martial Arts we have made mindfulness a key component of our dojo culture. To encourage members to carry these intentions outside of the dojo, we have created a monthly blog series with tips and tricks from members of your community.

Karate Trial Offer
